Who doesn’t love a good Jelly? There’s no reason your dog has to miss out on a little bit of candy this Halloween. These jelly treats are SO simple to make you’ll never want to go back to baking traditional treats!
Pumpkin is regarded as a superfood for dogs. You have probably noticed we add it into as many recipes as we can! Pumpkin is high in fibre and can help with weight management, digestion, diarrhea, and constipation, it is also very high in vitamins. We have always been advocates for adding pumpkin into your dogs diet, check our our blog post on pumpkins to learn more!
Pumpkin jelly’s only have two ingredients; pumpkin puree and gelatine! When you are buying pumpkin puree at the store make sure that it is all natural with no additives… you don’t want to accidentally feed your pup pumpkin pie filling. Your gelatine should be unflavoured and natural as well.
Here is how to make Jelly treats for your dog;
All you have to do is pour ¼ cup of cold water into your bowl, whisk in a packet of gelatine, Next pour ¼ cup of boiling water in to the bowl and whisk until all the gelatine is dissolved.
Now add in 1 cup of pumpkin puree. Mix and pour into your molds.
Cover and chill in your fridge for 3 hours.
They will last for up to 4 days!
Feel free to add in any additives to boost your treats (we have tried a dash of cinnamon, green lipped mussel, and our superfood supplement!)
